Raymond Durber: Composer, Artistic Director
The Willow Pattern Ballet is the latest project from Raymond after closing his architectural practise some years ago to concentrate on writing and composing for the Arts.
Captivated since childhood by the Legend portrayed within The Willow Pattern design, and surprised that such a beautiful story has yet to be properly recognised in the Arts, Raymond spent much of two years composing its ballet suite to bring this long-overdue Work out from the shadows after more than two centuries of waiting patiently for its debut and its rightful place within the global Dance repertoire.
Elize Layton: Dance Dramaturg
A passionate performer and creative, Elize - an actress, singer, dancer and choreographer - believes The Willow Pattern Ballet to be an important and exciting Work and aims to be a supportive collaborator involved in bringing this unique project to fruition and its global debut.
A Trinity Laban graduate with a 1st in Musical Theatre, Elize set up her own Physical Theatre company Our-Kind debuting their work #Utopia in 2017.
- "Lucy" in a musical adaptation of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (2018)
